A dresser redo.

Good afternoon, friends.
What's the weather like for you? It's a blizzard here. Imagine that. I miss snow days. Work doesn't have snow days.

I wanted to share with you a project that I started working on last week.

I found this dresser at an auction sale a couple months ago.

It was the typical 70's, yucky colored wood.

But I had high hopes for it :)

Tada!

This thing was a PAIN in the butt to paint. The paint would not cover for some reason so it took me 5 coats of paint. I used the entire bucket of paint. I think it was a quart?

I also still have to do something with the knobs. When I get to Hobby Lobby I'm going to pick some out I think.

Anyway... Have a fantastic day!

"Ice Cream."

Oh my goodness ladies, do I have a treat for you! Literally. Ok, so you know how I'm on this like no sugar kick? You probably had no idea :) If you love ice cream, peanut butter, and bananas, this is a treat for you.

All you need is:
1 frozen banana
2 tbsp peanut butter
1 scoop vanilla whey protein
1 tsp vanilla extract
Pinch of cinnamon

Blend it all together. Don't fret like I did when it turned into one chunky glob. Just keep blending.

And you will end up with a thick, smooth, creamy, heavenly mixture of goodness. I bet you won't be able to make just one batch. Bananas are on my grocery list.

It makes about 2 servings, both amounting to about 100 calories per serving. Not bad. You can eat this as a snack or dessert. Give it a try!! You won't be sorry.

Enjoy!

No sugar added

Holy smokes, people.
The next couple of days are going to be cold, cold, cold here. The forecast is projecting -50 with the wind chill. Pray for safety for those around the country that have to face these extreme temps.

So yesterday I was seriously craving something sweet. Imagine that, right?

I was going to make something sweet with just a tiny bit of sugar. What would it hurt, right?

Then I thought to myself... no, I'm not going to give in. I'm going to see if I can do this without adding sugar.

So I googled sugar substitutes, and voila, honey!

I found this Blueberry Peach Cobbler recipe on shape.com.

It was so so good! I could have added a little more honey I think, because it wasn't really that sweet, but the amount of honey you're supposed to substitute is way less than the amount sugar called for, so I went easy on the honey.

If you're looking for a healthy treat, this is a good one!

The batter was so yummy, I could have eaten that alone.

And no raw eggs, so mom wouldn't be mad!
:)
